Water Voices from Around The World receives first place Gold Award at world's largest international book awards competition. This award will be made public at a formal presentation at Book Expo America in Los Angeles on Friday, May 30th, 2008. This award is in the 'Outstanding Book of the Year' category for the book "Most Likely to Save the Planet."

Water Voices from Around The World is published in consideration and support of the UN's decade of water, and features 400 color photographs and over 100 letters and articles from 77 authors that include Susan Lisa Toch, Ph.D., M.P.H., M.A., and recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize and Stockholm Water Prize.

We wanted to invite all of you to attend the "Water Talk" on March 9, at 5:30 pm in Friday Harbor, Wa. at the Friday Harbor Library. This is part of our "Power of Spirit in the World of Water" series with details found here.

The presentation will include book intros and readings from "Water to Drink" and "Water Voices From Around the World", and some creative participation. There will most likely be light refreshments served.

We are also looking for partner sponsors to assist with the support of continued education in the water world in order to include field and creative water activities, and in line with upcoming March World Water Day, and the UN Decade for Action, so please let us know if you or your organization can help.
